I shot 24 rounds out of a .22 rifle in boot camp.
What a joke. My two eldest sons and I are proficient shooters and qualified Distinguished Marksman for light rifle, and both sons the same for shotgun. They essentially hit ~100% at skeet and trap. Eldest is in the USAF and the only reason he couldn't get sniper designation when shooting in basic is because there are other requirements. Accuracy was only part of it.
