Wow dudes likes to pointlessly fight. ( I mean some guys without hobbies who act depressed, because without hobbies you become this whiny slugfest on internet instead of being productive) But the guys who think selling depression is gonna get you anywhere in life. What fools.
But either case enough about my rant on the target audience who like this junk. But its exploitative in the wrong way. Same way rape in movies are also exploitative. not a fan.
But the case scenario of why this movie is horrendously awful is. It failed as a satire. At the time nobody understood it and thought it sucked (Well they were right). But they had to be explained that it is a satire. If you have to explain a movie being a satire, then its a bad satire.
But trash movie, hated it.
Here is my life advice
(If you feel depressed, get a hobby or you will become more depressed. PS Dont sell depression either)
So satire only works if a 4-year-old can understand it. Got it.
And the fundamental thing about people not getting Fight Club and its reception: it’s been beloved since it came out. In fact, it’s been a constant presence on the IMDb Top 250 since about a month after its release and has never dipped below 43. Frankly, the problem isn’t that they didn’t get it, so they hated it. It’s that they loved it because they didn’t get it.
Comparing the Universal Oneness of All Life to Yo Mama since 2010.
