Aegrus Wrote:"Of clean animals, and of animals that are not clean, and of birds, and of EVERYTHING that creeps on the ground, two and two, male and female, went into the ark with noah."
Everything is the key word there. So obviously, you can put every single species on the ark.
oh does it say species? from what i've read it said kind lets look at this passage
bible Wrote:19 And of every living thing of all flesh you shall bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. 20 Of the birds after their kind, of animals after their kind, and of every creeping thing of the earth after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive.
i'm sorry was i wrong to say kind? there are 2 of every kind of animal, not 2 of every species. there are many different kinds of dogs and wolves too though i'm sure he only brought 2 dogs on board not 2 of every type of dog.
reverendjeremiah Wrote:The "firmament" is a mistranslation? I though an all powerful and perfect God inspired the books of the bible...how can it have a "mis" anything in it, most especially a "misinterpretation"?
So wait...are you suggesting that God meant it to mean one thing, but us humans mistook it for something else?
yes, people can make mistakes in inturpriting God's word. why do you think there are so many denominations of christianity all with different beliefs? this does not take away from God's word, only takes away from many human's credibility to interpret it.
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
