The Attack on Scientific Truth in Public Schools

Children should be shown the evidence and have it compared to every theory available. Simply telling a child one thing is fact and all others are bullshit is not helping develop or mature the child.
sorry. We have problems with equal time. You see, we dont think anything other than biology should be taught in a biology class. You are suggesting otherwise. Showing them other theories? Do we have to dilute science so much as to show kids all of the competing theories, even the really fucking STUPID ones like Intelligent design and Creationism?

You see, there is also a reason why we are getting pissed at you. One of the Creationist modes of attack are "If we cant dominate the school work, then we can dominate class time." So they teach their children to constantly interupt any mention of evolution with constant questions, or bringing up of other theories. You would be encouraging this tactic in class. I want my children to learn biology...not the stupid shit that people make up in their heads.

Teaching a child what is scientifically real is the BEST way to make a mature, rational adult out of him or her. Allowing religion to ruin that is wrong.

The same is true for almost all of her classmates. This isn't to belittle anyone, simply to illustrate that supernatural teachings do nothing to hinder a child's learning.

Yeah, and if she gets below a C she gets kicked out of the school, and then public schools will HAVE to take her. THIS is why private schools look better. One - they teach them superstition instead of science. Two - they can get rid of the ones who are doing bad, which gives them a 100% success rate.

So she is two levels above other kids her age, and the way you kame it sound is because of the supernatural stuff they teach her. And all the rest of her classmates as well. Im calling it...my bullshit meter is going off.

I have to ask, what country is she in? Because standardised tests in America have jack shit all to do with supernaturalism.

(January 2, 2012 at 7:54 pm)Perhaps Wrote: Creationism comprises a very small part of science education, same with elementary evolution. I'd rather my child be taught scientific method and apply it to theories, as opposed to blatant "factual" information giving them a one-sided view of the world, regardless of how correct it may be. If you don't wish the same then simply vote against it. I explained my point of view, no need to attack me for it.

Please come back down out of the clouds and back down here on Earth. this entire block of text is horse shit...and then claiming we cannot attack you for it is nonsense. You are an advocate for creationism and intelligent design for biology classes on an atheist forums...and then you have the balls to say we should not attack you for this?

Do you think we are fucking stupid?

Honestly man...you must be one hell of a dreamer
