There's no such thing as the subconscious. These are outdated Freudian ideas. Modern psychology does talk about unconscious processing, but it is something altogether different.
Most of Freud is utterly outdated. Call it what you like but there's clearly processing that we aren't aware of. Influence that and there's influence that the conscious mind can't easily deal with.

No, and I was certain enough that you'd go here that I nearly headed this off in my last post. Subliminals are largely useless, though I often wonder what happens when we fast-forward through ads. I'm thinking of all the not-always-subtle techniques that are used to quietly and indirectly influence us.
