Part of the extreme polarization is the inability to accept that people who disagree with us may in fact be honest.

I definitely think Trump was honest when he claimed that Mexico only sends their worst: Rapist and drug traffickers.
I also definitely think Trump was honest when he said he wanted to deport US citizens.
I definitely think Trump was honest when he claimed that there are good people on both sides, the side who chants nazi slogans, rose their right hand to the "deutscher Gruß", showing off nazi symbols....and this other faction.
I definitely think Trump was honest when he claimed that Musk is a cool guy and is needed to help save billions in government spending. I also definitely think Trump was honest when he claimed that Musk needs all government contracts canceled.
I definitely think musk was honest when he spent several hundred mio of Dollars for Trumps election to get him elected. I also definitely think Musk was honest when he claims he knew that Trump is a sexual predator. I also definitely think Musk was honest when he separated himself from Trump, not because Trump is a sexual predator, but because he is trying to push through a bill that happens to both harm the US and Musk himself.

And finally, i abso-fucking-lutely think all the people who voted for these people, who still support these people, are honest.
