Since I've been old enough to pay attention, and reading back on the news before that time, I've seen nothing but antagonism, threats, attacks, terrorist attacks, etc., between Iran and Israel.
And, immediately, the world jumps in with peace talks, ceasefires, and negotiations.
Seems to happen every three-to- five years.
And yet the hatred, antagonism, and all the tension is still there, and heats up again sooner or later.
Perhaps the world should, this time, sit back and say, "go for it. We won't interfere. Winner takes all."
Perhaps, then, when the dust clears, the cycle won't repeat again.
Am I being naive??
I've long said sardonically that we should simply build a wall around the place and let them settle it. At any rate, with the exception of the Camp David Accords, my own country has been a negative influence on their relations, and I wish we'd quit trying to fix their emotional fuckuppery.
Peace will happen when either one side conquers the other, or when both sides agree that conflict is not worth it.
