This surprises me. I certainly didn't mean it to come across gloomy (hence the "I really like it that way") I'm very happy being single. As for the getting married to have someone to look after me, I have a son. I don't feel the need to have more children - I got it right the first time. He's perfect!
Marriage is certainly no guarantee of being taken care of.
