Have you done any searching atheist/secular support groups in your state?

Not much. I have foundational trust issues. I trusted people I believed to be my friends for many years, but they did not support me when I needed them most. I am still in Missouri for now, unfortunately.

I'm sorry you had awful parents, Hopefully you can find some people you do trust. Wether it's in real life or in online forums.
