Worship the guy you've never seen or will ever see in real life or TORTURE FOREVER!
It's like pointing a gun at someone's head and demanding they lay on the floor and worship you. Some how....that's not really a good way to earn respect. Only resentment. They follow because of the harm you'll cause if they don't, not because of love.
God! You're doing it wrong! Stupid!
Hell really is a really silly idea, as stupid as the people who invented such an idea. If there is a god, I really don't think he/it could be as stupid as that.
Quote:What point is there for a God to assert authority over his creations, if they choose to willingly disobey him?I haven't disobeyed god, I've rejected the claim that a god exists. The claim originated from man. Unsupported, highly improbable and a god that they describe has the morals and manners of a spoilt child. A malevolent dictator not worthy of worship or attention. I haven't disobeyed god, merely rejected the claim that a badly thought up one exists.

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
