Quote:"Our Father" prayer is not Christian? What a bunch of bullshit.
Actually--- 'Our Father" is a very Jewish prayer. None of the basic tenets of Jesus' basic teachings are antithetical to Judaism. How could they be? He was above all a Jew who founded a purely Jewish sect.
Having a Jewish prayer is probably no more acceptable under the US constitution.
Quote:Prayer ''Our Father'' is the Jewish prayer. Let us read it as well as the parallel verses of TaNaKh (the Old Testament) and Sidur (the Jewish prayer-book).

Psalms 145:11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;

Isaiah 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put [him] to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see [his] seed, he shall prolong [his] days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
''Glorified and sanctified be His great name in the world which He has created according to His will. May He establish His kingdom in your lifetime...'' (Kaddish)
''You are holy and Your name is holy, and your holy ones praise You every day. Blessed are You, O Lord, holy God.'' (Amidah, blessing three)
Matt 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
''Bless for us, Adonai our God, this year and its crops. Grant us a blessing on the earth. Satisfy us from Thy bounty and bless our year like other good years. Blessed are You, O Lord, Who blesses the years.'' (Amidah, blessing nine)
Matt 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Psalms 79:9 Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake.
"Forgive us, our Father, for we have sinned; pardon us, our King, for we have transgressed; for You pardon and forgive. Blessed are You, O Lord, gracious One who abundantly forgives. (Amidah, blessing six).
Matt 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil...
Psalms 7:1 O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
Psalms 25:20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.
Matt 6:13 ... For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
1Chr 29:11 Thine, O LORD, [is] the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all [that is] in the heaven and in the earth [is thine]; thine [is] the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.
Psalms 145:13 Thy kingdom [is] an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion [endureth] throughout all generations.
