You apperently didn't read the rest of my post. So I will repost it here...
I have known for a long time that god said to put homosexuals to death. That is common knowledge. It is easy to poke holes in something when you take it out of context, isn't it? Those books were books of law for the people pre-jesus era. Those laws were necessary to forge the path of humanity. However, Jesus understood the evil of scripture twisting and the theocracy existing at the time. That's why he came; to challenge the church and be sacrificed. He paid the price of homosexuality; therefore the death penalty for homosexuality no longer applies.
Those books are books of law for the people pre-jesus era...and that's where the bible as a whole should stay. Until God can give an updated version for 2012 then the bible should not be taken seriously as it is outdated and irrelevant for our times.
