Secular Party, yes. National Atheist Party, no. It's going to get as much mileage with atheists as the term 'Brights' has. The funny thing is they say theists are welcome. If they were welcome, you wouldn't call it the National Atheists Party, would you? It would be like the National East Asian Party saying Caucasians were welcome. It just doesn't strike one as sincere.
And here's the thing: they already know most atheists hate the name. But they're not going to change it. Never. Because they don't really care about representing atheists. It's just an internet fad.
