Well, not only that, but it apparently goes completely over their heads that in accepting this "sacrifice" on their behalf they are actually condoning it.
This God is supposed to be timeless. And he never seems to truly give anyone any real choice in anything.
If God has simply asked me first if I would be interested in condoning having his innocent son beaten and nailed to a pole to pay for my supposed "sins" I could have saved God the bother and simply told God that I would not be willing to condone such a sacrifice on my behalf.
Just by simply asking me God could have saved Jesus from this horrible fate. I simply would not have condoned this on my behalf.
Any Christians would have had to have push me aside and said to God. "Are you kidding me? You're willing to let your son take my beating to save my pathetically worthless butt! I ACCEPT! Crucify him already! Get on with it!"
That's basically the position the Christians are taking.
They claim otherwise. They claim that it's water over the dam and that it's already a done deal, so they may as well accept it now. But that flies in the face that this God is supposed to be omniscient and timeless. If this God is truly omniscient and timeless, then I cannot condone having Jesus crucified to save my butt, because that would be basically the same as condoning it on my behalf before it's even done.
So to accept the crucifixion on my behalf from a supposedly timelessly omniscient God would truly not be anything more than condoning it even before it happened. And that I refuse to do.
So the whole Christian mythology makes absolutely no sense.
Christian - A moron who believes that an all-benevolent God can simultaneously be a hateful jealous male-chauvinistic pig.
Wiccan - The epitome of cerebral evolution having mastered the magical powers of the universe and is in eternal harmony with the mind of God.
Atheist - An ill-defined term that means something different to everyone who uses it.

Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.
Clearly Jesus (a fictitious character or otherwise) will forgive people if they merely know not what they do
For the Bible Tells us so!
