Not necessarily. In fact, our current server hosts a few websites. Most websites are relatively simple and don't require a powerful computer to run them, so you can have hundreds on the same server.
The forum on the other hand is very large and has many people trying to access it at once. Our current server isn't powerful enough to handle the strain so we're upgrading to a much faster model.
