Withdrawal is the easy option. However, to Muslims this will appear as weakness and just encourage more outrages in not only against the west but against other Muslims. Most people in the west simply cannot comprehend that Islam means to conquer the world for Allah and those that dont agree must be killed. I abhor the deaths of our troops out there but they are fighting against a ruthless theorcratic enemy. I despair when I hear the calls for the west to pull out of Afganistan, Iraq, leave Israel to its fate against its aggresive neighbours and allow Iran nuclear weapons etc etc. Should all this come to pass it will not bring a new age of understanding between cultures but more and more demands from Muslims for us to conform to their world view or perish. Read the Quran its all in there: 'He who will not convert then kill him'!! Do not be fooled by supposed 'Moderate Muslims' They want the same thing as the extremists but are prepared to go more slowly by nibbling away at our secular society.

I despair when I hear the sentiments you are expressing! Withdrawal from an unwinnable war is common sense. Unfortunately, politicians who hold saving face above saving lives are not blessed with it.
Afghanistan is 21st century Vietnam. Do you really want to continue down that kind of road, sacrificing young lives for nothing?
You echo our government over the perceived danger. Do you really think the situation is the same as what was at stake with Hitler? I don't. WW2 had to be fought and won...it was a " just " war.
Afghanistan is not in the same league.
You claim every muslim wants world world domination. I say that is bollocks. A small percentage of " extremists " exist in all groupings.
I'll give you one thing, given the age of Islam, the muslims are certainly going slowly to achieve their ends!
And in the personal, would you like to see any of your family sacrificed? If you were of fighting age, would you think making the ultimate sacrifice was worth it?
