Santorum is fighting dirty here in Michigan with robo calls being sent out to Democrats to vote in the Republican primary, which is legal here. I almost thought about doing it simply to make sure the more batshit candidate got elected, hopefully insuring that we wouldn't have to endure this right wing nuttery at the presidential level, but the idea of Santorum taking the nomination scares me. Americans have shown that no candidate is too stupid or crazy to have a viable chance, so while I'd like to think Rick gaining the nomination would mean an inevtiable loss for the GOP, history has shown to never underestimate the stupidity of the American voter.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell
