Well, things are as always, quite different in America than anywhere else in the world.
They are nowhere in the extremes.
They don't ignore him, nor try to kill him.
But sending e-mails..Well, it's not worth the effort, and it's probably not worth ignoring him altogether either.

Yes, but you don't see atheists sending hate mail to the hundreds of thousands of Pastors, Priests and Ministers expressing there opinion. Is it too much to ask that atheists are allowed to express their opinion without getting shot down?

Well, hate mails, in my opinion, are opinions.
Bullets are bullets.
And well, I see this forum. This thread, for example, refers in a very general tone to christians being intolerant of others, and try to outyell their opponents in a discussion.
In this forum, I see a lot of people who care more about christians, than christianity itself, or anything related to theology.

I don't expect you'd find a seat at any of our home-grown bible thumping baptist's tables. A: you're the wrong shade of lipstick, B: you're probably a muslim (whether or not you are is irrelevant, see A)

Honestly, you should be rooting for our fundies at every turn, nothing will completely destroy america (and with it any ally who depends upon us) quite so fast as if those d-bags get what they want.

Either you're exaggarating, or I'm getting the wrong impression about America from your movies and from what I hear of friends.
Besides, what is it that they want that will destroy you?
Besides, I had lived in a christian majority country.
