She is guilty of arson, however, and also the tree was probably property.

Maybe a bristle cone pine? Older than even the pryamids, and the wood won't rot for thousands of years even after they eventually die. In fact there are still fallen bristle cone pines on the ground that dates to long before god created the universe in 4004 BC.
