But those theories directly contradict the Bible.
If these Christians are going to say the Bible is completely wrong as far Genesis is concerned and stories like those of Adam and Eve and Noah's Ark are untrue why would you not start to question and wonder if maybe everything else in the Bible is completely made up including the 4 Gospels?

I just don't understand how anyone could do that though as it seems the most obvious and likely possibility that its all made up. It must take some tremendous force of will I do not possess, to read the whole Bible and still believe in it.
I understand why someone completely uneducated and unknowledgeable about the world as soomeone growing up in Africa now or living back in the Dark Ages might believe in it.
But when it comes to someone well educated living in the West today I understand it about as well as I understand Quantum Physics which is not very well.
