I thought it was 16 crackers? Oh well.
I've considered the idea that each time I have a thought, it momentarily becomes a consciousness from my perspective. It would be explained to be like the position of someone with split personalities, I imagine. In other words, is it possible that each mind is many versions of consciousness, and the overriding intelligence is capable of assuming the guise of one line of thought? So if I have a thought, have I created a new consciousness that overlaps my old one, and therefore a new person who inhabits my body and seems to be part of my mind?
It's just crazy speculation.
