By all accounts, the student was talking about how the Peacock's tail aids in sexual selection. That's it.

I hear that Rush Limbaugh and Rick Santorum are hailing her as a hero for standing up to snobby liberal college professors who brainwash young adults into believing evolution.

And surprisingly, it seems like Conservapedia hasn't co-opted the incident yet.

Intermittent explosive disorder. I would need a little more background but I think that's about it.

I would need more background info. In order for it to be IED there would need to be a rule out of other mental illness and physical disorders that could have caused the behavior. So the diagnosis cannot be conclusive without her mental health, medical and behavioral history.
