Don't forget these gems from the old testament on how to deal with children:

Deuteronomy
21:18-21

"If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son...
Then shall his father and his mother lay hold
on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his
city... And all the men of his city shall stone him
with stones, that he die..."


Proverbs
23:13-14

"Withhold not correction from the child: for if
thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt
deliver his soul from hell."


Psalm 137:9

"Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth
thy little ones against the stones."


Yeah, Yahweh sounds like a real "Family Values" kind of guy. Beat the crap out of your kids. Kill them if they resist you. Then celebrate it afterwards because hey they deserved it. Never mind someone ELSE'S children don't even get Yahweh started on those little bastards.

I've explained Psalm 137:9 on two other posts so I want bother to do it again.
Deuteronomy 21:18-21 is not about small children, a son in those days was considered a man by his middle teens, this is a verse about adults children having no respect for the family and trying to tear down the family name. In those days the family name meant everything to all people and to disrespect it was a extremely bad thing to do. If you can't study scriptures at least study history.
Proverbs 23:13-14 the word beat has a literal translation of "smite" which means to strike and as the passage states one is not to beat the child to death. I received several whippings as a child, and I can assure you, if it had not be for that punishment, that I now know was done because I was loved, I would have been in trouble all my life. So if it has done no other any good it did for me, and I'm glad to have grown up to be a responsible adult.
Again I say study scripture for yourself, stop going to web pages that are meant for nothing more than tearing down God's word.
