Because in Judaism, forgiveness is more of an interpersonal affair than a matter between man and God.

Are you implying that Christianity was a pragmatic ideology designed by Jews to spread their ideology?

God will forgive anything you do 'cos Jesus died for you. All you have to do is say sorry and give the Church some money.

Also if God cannot forgive your sins what is the point of repentance, you may as well go on raping and killing and go have a crusade yay all sin is washed away you can have your cake and eat it too.
