As Christians we are constantly testing the validity of our conclusions. If 1 + 1 no longer equalled 2 then we would have to throw away the assumptions stemming from that and start again.
I suppose the biblical equivalent would be if a root concept no longer fitted. If God were both just and unjust. If the result of faith in God didn't result in the best possible health.
Xtianity has been passing such tests for 2000 years now. Human error is what accounts for objection.
