And who made our hearts? Seriously, you can blame someone for your own trouble communicating an idea all day long, that doesn't actually make it their fault. If the one doing the blaming is a god (or in this case, you, gods "rep"), and even more so a creator god, then all we're referencing here is a being frustrated by its own piss-poor design decisions (and a lackey making excuses for his inept boss).

By the by, "hardening" in the heart doesn't have anything to with our thoughts. Of course, the original authors thought that it did. Mis-communication due to abject ignorance, and repeated as platitude to this very day. Usually, I quite like little phrases like that, but in the context of your response I just couldn't pass up mentioning it.
