God says that He desires none to perish, this does not sound like gloating, it is the love He has for all. God gave us free will for several reasons, the one that's important here is to allow us to choose, either to accept His love or reject it. The opposite of love would be evil, with God there's no fence riding allowed.
Wc Wrote:Sin is still a more powerful force than your god. It shouldn't surprise him, he set up a reality where this was possible and did not properly consider that the majority of creation would grow to hate and loathe him forever.
God is never caught by surprise, God has seen all of history, sin could never get the upper hand on Him. God punishes sin so how can you possibly believe that the Punisher of sin could be weaker than sin.
Wc Wrote:Either god is too weak to save, oblivious to our existence because we're so insignificant compared to him, utterly evil, or simply negligent and incompetent. Take your pick.
Neither are a biblical choices, so you can rule them out. God saves all those who choose His Son through faith. God's nature is love, so there can be on evil in Him, the two are incompatible as the nature of a being.[/quote]
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
