Well it is speculated that certain food was deemed unclean due to not having proper refrigeration in that area. There are also rules that tell not to touch a dead animal I believe. It is about sanitation IMO....the one that makes the least sense is the mixing of meat and dairy...I think that maybe more to do with the fact both come from the same animal and it was seen as...wait NVM, it does not matter at all.
