I don't care if they burnt a golliwog; they are racists, and they probably do think it accurately represents a black person. I'm not a racist, so I don't. I'm also not an idiot, so I don't. I find it a humourous looking doll, just like Barbie is a humourous looking doll (I mean, have you seen the length of her neck???).
Times change bozo, and these people are stuck in their racist past. I don't see any more racism in the golliwog than I did in the "Obama monkey" cartoon or the senator who referred to Obama as a "boy". Maybe they represented racist views at one time, but not anymore.
They may be " lunatics " but their action actually does support my point. It wasn't a barbie they burnt, it was a golliwog. They would also deny being racist.
Times may change, but some things don't...racism being one.
