Would you mind telling me exactly why a disagreement about you claiming me as "cutting and running" and my dismissal of it makes me a PHILISTINE since the term "philistine" is used to refer to someone who has a fairly negative view of art? I'll be interested to see if you have the good grace to withdraw the assertion in that context or whether you'll start jumping through hoop after hoop in an attempt to justify the assertion.

I think the post is on subject because it developed into a debate about racism.
You have a point about my choice of wording. I have used philistine in the past to mean " lacking a bit of class " which is how I found your responses at the time. I accept that is not the dictionary meaning. So, I retract that word with good grace.( no hoopla )
