After all, god forgives all people at all times no matter what or how often they've done it (literally and metaphorically).
That is the beauty of God, if you do wrong, and truly feel bad for it, he will forgive you. When everyone else in the world hates you, and you need someone to turn to, then you can count on him.
I know you will all be looking at the worst cases, e.g., child molesters, rapists, murderers. I honestly can't speak to that, because I wouldn't be able to forgive so I couldn't explain how anyone could.
The God I know is accepting, tolerant and merciful. If your heart is burdened with some wrong doing you know someone will have your back. Don't let organized religion fool you into thinking that being spiritual or religious has to be such a horrible thing.
