There are lots of popular opinions. But any opinion that is popular that treats a fellow human as a sub species is an opinion worthy of scorn.

We are all the same species and our species has never been monochromatic and never will be. There is no credible justification for banning gay marriage, only the bullshit justification of "they might give me cooties".
