Yes, I understand some Christian denominations have little regard for what scripture truly teaches and it makes them standout. However there is no difference between them and parents that are not Christians when they also refuse to get help for a sick child irregardless of what they believe.
There is a huge difference. Parents who are not religionists refuse to get help for sick children for all sorts of different reasons. But parents who refuse to help their children in the name of religion all do so for the same reason.
Single out religion, and you address problems facing a large number of children. Single out any other cause, you but address a small fraction.
So it makes sense, to help the most children the soonest, to go for religion first.
