Merely because someone draws a rational conclusion on one claim, does not mean they are rational about all things.
If it helps, I'm irrationally convinced all spiders are evil with poisonous bites even thou there are practically none like that in the UK.
People ARE irrational, atheists are people, ergo Atheists can be irrational, we're not robots, however we are not irrational about an unsubstantiated creator/god/deity claims in the same way most people are not irrational about the spiders in my house.
