Well, white really isn't much of a descriptive term, and such uses of the term have fallen out of use for centuries. I believe that they use the term white to mostly denote people of celtic, germanic and latin heritage(whose current representatives are a mix of the three), and may even include the slavs, although the generic approach of the national socialists was to shun the slavic race as non-aryan.
They are not nordic, that is sure, however they are of the same ethno-linugistical family tree.
