I never claimed we were perfect as a species or even as a disparate collection of societies all vying for survival on this tiny ball of rock and iron in a forgotten corner of a bleak and godless Universe. I even agreed with you - did you not spot this bit?
I'm supposed to be the forum's resident clinically-confirmed suicidal depressive and I'm starting to feel more than a little resentment at your obsessive rejection of others' opinions, apparently purely for rejection's sake. So I am going to back out of this thread at this point. I like the things you have to say, generally, and I have no intention of falling out with you over this.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
