If we taxed religion, we'd have enough money to send over a dozen Mars rovers. Religion has more than enough money to feed hundreds of millions.

When you look at how much religion makes and what they spend all that money on, religion is the ultimate corruption. The top 10 for most evil and selfish.
Really really really big churches full of thousands of people talking about bible stuff (feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, etc. etc.) = tons of money going into collection
bowls to ...feed the hungry, clothe the poor, etc. etc
Sure, you can tax those charitable donations - money given from peoples AFTER TAX INCOME - and guess what that will do.
If you wanted to give to charities, why not just give directly to them? The money collected from church collections will go to the church first then to the charities.
