Free will and the Christian God

You cannot have free will or God cannot be omniscient.
You have to choose between an apple an an orange. So if this all-knowing God knows you are going to pick the apple but you choose the orange you have just negated Gods omniscience. If you are unable to pick the orange then you have negated free will.

Hasn't this topic been done to death in recent weeks?
"Free will" is not the ablity to pick fruit. The bible tells us that Free will is the ablity to seek atonement from sin. You are speaking of a greek philosphy that points to a freedom of a complete independant decernment from God. We have not been promised this gift, what's more this is not biblically based 'free will.' "Free will" allows one choice, and we have been given this life to make that choice.
