I understand that American Atheists get involved in these types of cases, and likely the Secular Student Alliance.
At a recent meetup.com meeting a presentation on whether the U.S. was founded as a Christian nation was given, and the powerpoint file for that presentation is given . You can probably find more at infidels.org, or by googling "David Barton" (a prominent and popular liar for Jesus who promotes this bullshit).
From what I have been told (Dave Silverman, American Atheists), many of these cases are launched simply to bleed the legal funds from secular groups. Whether you have standing or not in this matter, I won't venture an opinion.
And FWIW, the "you can just ignore it" argument has been ruled inadequate by the courts. But if you and yours want to just ignore it when I paint the walls of your schools with the 1,101 names of Kali and put statues of her likeness at every corner of the school, you are certainly free to do so.
