Do a google search in news about Raven's player supporting same sex marriage. But it may have started with him supporting gay marriage, it has gone on to involve an MD polititian telling the player he should shut up, then other players backing him up and blasting the polititian.
Raven's player Brandon Ayanbadejo publically supports same sex marriage. A local politition basically said he should not be turning the NFL political. But seems Chick Fil A had no problem turning their business political. And other players including a punter and the president of the players association basically backed Brandon up and condemned the comments of that politician.
It often takes big public figures and even sports figures to make social change that leads to equality. It wasn't that long ago when people condemned inter racial marriage.
I have to admit, having been bullied by jocks, I have had my own bias. But when any human steps up for social equality like this, it makes me proud. Thank YOU Brandon, and to all the players who backed him up.
