There are only 3 ways in which something can be said to exist.
1. As a concept of language.
2. As a concept of mind.
3. In reality.
So, when you say that, "if someone has faith that something exists, it exists (for them)", in which of the above ways does it exist for them?
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
