On another thread I read here this morning I listened to the asshole Penn Jillette (who happens also to be an atheist) criticizing Obama for being either an idiot believer or a liar. He uses the church Obama attended in Chicago to distort what Obama must believe in as a Christian if he isn't a liar.
It isn't too hard to see that Blowhard Jillette's real motivation is to deflect votes away from Obama for reasons relating to class status. Like so many other Repulicunts, he would like to go on engaging in class warfare without getting called on it or stirring up a response from the classes that are losing .. the middle, working and poor. It may be true that one cannot be elected president in the US without at least claiming to be a Christian. But why the hell is Jillette critizing Obama for being a liar? Does he think some people never lie? Does he think we should be mindful of the ten commandments even if we deny the bible? What an asshole.
To learn what Obama really thinks about the place of religion in politics listen to his own words. Then give me a link to anything that gives you any reason to believe that Mitt has as nuanced a position. Any atheist who wants to argue that Obama shouldn't be elected because of his religious positions is not honest.
