Speaking where the bible speaks and remaining silent where the bible is silent in this case, is to not assume you know why jewish girls mourned Jep's daughter. For you do not know what would be a worse fate, for them Death or slavery. Nor do any of us know any of the stories surrounding why Jep's daughter mourned her not being able to get married so bitterly. Perhaps she was completely head over heals with some guy and they were about to get married, and then she is "Offered up" as a temple slave. This could have been an old jewish version of Romeo and juliet.

Her Father could have killed her even if it was against the temple/God's Law. The bible is silent here and only the fool argues that Did infact die or did infact live when we have no record of what actually happened.
