Which is to say, my father is not Catholic because he was brow-beat into it by his family, he is a devout Catholic because he used his intelligence to look into it and determined that the Catholic Church's claim to be the One True Faith are true.

In 1604 - the Catholic Church Burned Giordano Bruno at the stake for saying that the Sun was a star - the earth orbited the sun - and the earth rotated on its AXIS - and other things that turned out to be true as well.

That same church convicted Galileo of heresy for similar "beliefs" as well as others.

ANY educated person who claims that the catholic church represents the one true faith - in the light of the above - is simply not thinking
