I have one question, what would you have made of this if you didn't meet anyone in the coffee shop? You have a really high probability to meet believing christians, so any god-related stuff you say to random strangers will be taken in good faith. I agree with Zippy, almost everyone carries some kind of problem, so any random phrase said in the name of god can be interpreted positively. I could tell almost anyone I meet "Just keep going, you'll pull through due to some circumstance you cannot foresee." and I would be spot on, because it can be taken any way the listener wants. The power of suggestion is a mighty power indeed.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
