Why don't Republicans go after the Atheist vote?

Given that the Republican party is dominated by fundamentalist evangelicals and offers nothing of value to anyone but millionaires, I find it a little amazing any atheist (or LGBT or racial minority or woman or any person making less than six figures) would vote for a a party which is actively hostile towards you and would discriminate against you for your lack of belief if they could get away with doing it.

I don't see the Democrat Party out there campaigning hard for the atheist vote either....the Democrats showed just how tolerant they were toward you guys at their convention after an uproar over removing a reference to God from the party platform...Barack and other influential Democrats protested and the reference to God was restored....They figured the votes of religious Blacks and Latinos were more important than the atheist vote, especially when some black pastors threatened not to vote for Obama if the reference to God was removed from the platform....don't seem like the Dems are particularly atheist friendly either....
