Why don't Republicans go after the Atheist vote?

I don't see the Democrat Party out there campaigning hard for the atheist vote either....the Democrats showed just how tolerant they were toward you guys at their convention after an uproar over removing a reference to God from the party platform...Barack and other influential Democrats protested and the reference to God was restored....They figured the votes of religious Blacks and Latinos were more important than the atheist vote, especially when some black pastors threatened not to vote for Obama if the reference to God was removed from the platform....don't seem like the Dems are particularly atheist friendly either....

I don't like that, but I understood the political motivation behind it. Sadly, there are a lot of Americans who vote the superstition ticket. If the Democratic Party lacks the backbone to embrace us, that's still leagues better than the party which actively despises us and attempts to force their deluded beliefs on us.

The political motivation behind it was to secure the votes of religious Blacks and Hispanics....The Democrats aren't going to lose those votes over the concerns of atheists....that whole uproar over removing the God reference from the party platform was nationally televised and the Dems openly threw you atheists under the bus for the religious vote, and that's not actively despising you?
