I own rural property 30 miles to the north, where except for the washed out light polluted skies from Portland in the southwest, the skies are quite dark as in every other direction, there is little but urban land and wilderness in any direction. The Milky Way is cleary visible overhead and the Andromeda galaxy barely visible when it's in the southeast sky. Unfortunately, the ex happens to live there.
I would love to see that with my own eyes.
