Wine is a program which you can install on a linux or a mac based computer. once you have installed wine on your computer you can take an executable from windows (eg paint.exe) and run it through wine. The MS paint window will appear.
The system isn't perfect. It only works with particular applications and particular things in the program may not behave as it should on windows. Therefore the people behind wine made an online database which would list all windows applications ever and would store how well the application would run in wine using the following categories; Garbage, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
Most of the games you listed appeared on this database as the highest rating in compatibility and should work using this wine program.
