On the contrary, the very same genetic evidence which contradicts these assumptions provides nothing short of conclusive proof the central core of OoA - That modern humans trace their genetic heritage overwhelmingly to very few African Homo Sapiens leaving Africa within a very narrow window in time. That the quibble should be based on the "overwhelming" being a measely 96% instead of 100.0000% tells just how petty the objections really are.
